With a population of over 1.3 billion people, India has undergone enormous expansion in the last two decades. GDP has expanded 4.5 times, whereas per capita consumption has increased three times. Similarly, food grain production has nearly doubled. Despite its strong economic performance, India has the world’s greatest number of hungry people, with over 200 million people food insecure, and is unable to feed its population and supply food to a huge number of people, particularly women and children. It is ranked 100th out of 119 nations in the Global Hunger Index 2017 and has a terrible food security problem.
The excellent intent of helping the hungry in getting quality food occurs all over the country, but ‘How’ seems to be perplexing. Ms Tripti Bhardwaj, a young socialist and the president of Bharoosa Foundaation, understands this better than anyone.
Since 2018, the Bharoosa Foundaation is participating in food distribution for the poor and marginalized people. We provide meals and dry ration to the poor and needy people who are deprived of basic necessities under the program “Aahar”. The program’s main goal is to provide help in the form of meals or dry ration to the underprivileged.
We request you to join us in supporting this initiative in order to keep this distribution going.
By contributing to this initiative, you may give poor people access to food.
